Product Warranty

Yes Bamboo Pty Ltd warrants to the original customer that at the time of sale, products  in  their  original  manufactured  condition,  to  be  free  from  defects  in  assembly, de-lamination, twist, split, wane, milling , dimension  and grading.

It further warrants that when properly installed and regularly and appropriately maintained the product is warranted to the original customer for a period of twenty-five (25) years for residential applications or ten years (10) commercial projects from the date of purchase against De-lamination.

Definition of de-lamination:

De-lamination equals minimum of a 400mm long and by 2mm wide separation of the glue line between side pressed bamboo strips.

The guarantee is realized if the delaminating affects a minimum 3% of the area of bamboo laid. Natural cracking & end-splitting or surface splinter is not covered under this warranty.


H3 Treatment Warranty – Screening and Undercover Decking

Yes Bamboo P/L warrants to the original consumer at the time of sale, products in their presented condition have been treated in Australia against fungal attack of a structural nature, rot and termite to Hazard Class 3 Treatment Level as defined in Australian Standard – AS1604.

Yes Bamboo P/L offers to replace the treated product if it is substantially damaged structurally by fungal attack, rot and termite within 25 years of date of sale. This treatment warranty does not cover any product aesthetically affected by fungi, mould or mildew but remaining otherwise sound.

Each purchaser of a Yesbamboo Product is solely responsible for determining the effectiveness, suitability, maintenance and safety of any particular use or application of the product. This includes adherence to local building code requirements.

Yes Bamboo will consider no defects from:

A. Horizontal or Vertical applications of Yes Bamboo products exhibiting signs of surface mould.

B. Degradation of the surface due to improper maintenance of applied protective finishes . Yesbamboo should not be allowed to weather or grey off, Yesbamboo requires at all times an applied and maintained protective finish to minimize the ingress of water and the destructive affects of the sun.

C. If during installation cuts and exposed ends of boards have not been sealed by brushing on a water based protective decking finish, hence reducing the natural incidence of end checking.

D. Installation where obviously visibly damaged or defects boards have been used.

E. Products installed other than in accordance with any local building code or authority regulations and recommended installation / maintenance instructions.

F. Colour, grain, knots or mineral streaks variations. Yesbamboo is a natural product and as such mismatch of bamboo strips may cause the natural variation or deviations from one piece to another.

G. Any product installed directly on top of or attached to a concrete slab, Installation directly on the ground, Installation directly on top of decking, or any installation which precludes proper ventilation above, below, and to the side. Separation between the boards at different times during the year may occur due to this normal expansion and contraction.

H. Lack of proper 4mm side to side gapping for drainage, regular cleaning and effective ventilation.

I. Staining such as wine and water rings, food, organic, pet or paint stains, stains from fixings, etc.

J. Settlement, shrinkage, or distortion of the substructure.

K. Improper handling, storage, chemical or solvents corrosion, physical abrasion

L. Natural disasters.


Warranty Exclusions and Disclaimer

A. If for any reason you believe the decking is defective DO NOT INSTALL.  Contact your dealer. Yes Bamboo P/L is not responsible for claims arising from installation of visibly defective product.

B. Yes Bamboo P/L  liability  under  this  Warranty  is  limited  solely  and  exclusively  to  supply of replacement product on proven to be defective Yes Bamboo products.

C. This warranty covers the purchaser of the product and is not transferable.

D. Yes Bamboo P/L shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or exemplary, or other damages of any kind whatsoever, whether any such claim is based upon theories of contract,  warranty,  negligence,  tort,  strict  liability  or  otherwise.

This warranty and prior sentences does not in any way limit any statutory rights of any person that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

To file a claim under this Warranty, purchaser must have proof of purchase of the suggested defective products including End Tag of the product (as contemplated by Australian Standard 1604) and the purchaser should first contact the point of sale of original purchase.
